Helps maintain a healthy inflammatory response to over-exertion or during recovery from surgery or after an injury

PhytoprofenVET combines the ayurvedic, inflammatory response-modulating blend of Curcumin, Ginger, and Boswellia – with the swelling-reducing presence of Bromelain. These four ingredients work synergistically with two additional botanical ingredients – the relaxation-inducing Corydalis and the muscle-
spasm reducing Jamaican dogwood – to provide true broad-spectrum support for a balanced inflammatory response.

- A unique blend of six well-researched botanical extracts
- Support for post-operative / post-injury bruising and swelling
- Provides comprehensive support for joints, muscles, and connective tissues
- PhytoprofenVET can be used to promote healing after an injury or surgery

An exclusive ThorneVET formula that combines several botanicals, including a synergistic blend of the Ayurvedic herbs – ginger, Boswellia, and curcumin – all of which help maintain a healthy balance of cytokines. Cytokines are cell-signaling molecules that aid cell-to-cell communication in immune responses and stimulate the movement of cells toward sites of inflammation, infection, and trauma; thus helping to minimize post-injury bruising and swelling and supporting post-surgery recovery.

Studies show supplementation with bromelain following a blunt injury to the musculoskeletal system resulted in reductions in swelling and tenderness.

The curcumin in PhytoprofenVET is a curcumin/phospholipid phytosome that demonstrates superior bioavailability compared to ordinary curcumin compounds.

A recent in vivo study examined a Boswellia extract for its positive effect on glycosaminoglycan (GAG) metabolism. GAGs form an important component of an animal’s connective tissues. The results of the study showed that Boswellia significantly reduced the normal degradation of GAGs compared to controls, thus providing support for maintenance of healthy connective tissue in a companion animal.
